Tried your suggestion but have more questions. I also use the Pixel genius filters and they do work in Monterey 12.1 on my M1 Macs if I launch the Intel version of Ps. Launch that version on an M1 Mac and you should then be able to see and use all of your old Plug-ins.

I don't think there is backwards compatability on the Mac (I could be wrong.just getting up to speed on Monterey).īesides the Photoshop icon, you will see the three-dot "More" icon.Ĭlick on that icon and look for "Open (Intel) I think the problem is that the older versions of PS won't run on Monterey. I have backwards compatibility turned on. So far, I haven't had a problem with a file that wouldn't work in a previous version, or a file that wouldn't open in a later version after modification in an earlier version. I just open the version I need, perform the required operation and return to CC2022. The earlier editions support features or plugins that were deleted from later CC iterations. In addition to CC2022, I also have previous CC editions on my machine as well as CS5 and CS3. I'm on WIN 10, so I don't have specific info to help you. It's been part of my workflow for a decade. I had PK Sharpener but I think it stopped working with Catalina. Scroll down the page to "Plug-ins not found or cannot be verified" Here's a link to the Adobe page talking about getting plug-ins to work with Catalina. (FYI, the plug in is PhotoKit 2 from PixelGenius, which stopped supporting it long ago. Has anyone managed to get an older plug-in to work with Monterey and Photoshop 2022? but there wasn't any way to type in a password (plus I don't know what password it was looking for). I tried it then got a prompt for password?. There was a previous suggestion about using a terminal command to get the plug-in to run on Catalina.

I upgraded CC Photoshop to 2022 on the new laptop but one of the legacy plug-ins won't run on it. Was previously running Mojave on an older laptop. Just upgraded to a Macbook Pro M1 which came with OS Monterey installed. Installing old plug-in into Photoshop CC 2022.
